SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel Women's Basketball returns to action on Saturday (Jan. 4) morning, opening the new year with a road matchup against McPherson at 10:00 a.m.
SERIES HISTORY
Evangel will take on McPherson in their third all-time matchup, as the Valor leads all-time, 2-0. In their last matchup with the Bulldogs, the Valor were victorious in dominant fashion on the road, 77-49.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel went 1-1 at the Warner Classic, defeating host school Warner, 63-54, but falling to #6 Dakota State, 58-65, in a close battle.

At the halfway point in the season, the Valor are led scoring wise by junior Carson Dillard, who averages 11.2 points per game for Evangel, leading the team with 17 three point makes.

Kamie Jenkins leads the team on the glass, averaging 10.1 rebounds per game, while averaging the second most points per game with 10.8.

Ali Kamies has been a vital addition to the Valor squad, both offensively and defensively, averaging 10.5 points per game and 1.9 steals per game.

Micah Clayton is coming off a strong performance against nationally ranked Dakota State, where the senior scored 20 points. Clayton averages just shy of double digit scoring on the season (9.9 ppg).
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel returns home to take on the Southwestern College Moundbuilders on Wednesday (Jan. 8) evening, their first home matchup of 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in AGFinancial Arena. Wednesday night's game will be broadcast by Mediacom22.
