Results
PITTSBURG, Kan. – Valor Track and Field continued the month of January by competing in the NAIA/JUCO Challenge, hosted by Pitt State University in Kansas. The Valor women accumulated 52 points on Saturday, the third most and most from an NAIA school at the meet. The Valor men finished their Saturday with 30 points, the ninth most and third most from an NAIA school at the meet.
Autumn Nold once again led the meet for the Valor women, hitting the NAIA standard in the 600 meter dash and breaking the school and meet record with a time of 1:34.89. The women's 4x800 team (Skylar Adams, Emily Harris, Macy Kopp, Adriana McGregor) also had a strong meet, as the women qualified for nationals by hitting the NAIA standard with a time of 9:30.26.
On the men's side, Jacob Gillies again performed well, hitting the "A" standard in another meet for the high jump, placing first with a jump of 2.09 meters to break the school and meet record. Trenton Braswell broke his school record in the weight throw with a mark of 16.67 meters, while Ethan Smith broke the school record in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:34.32.
