SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After defeating Stephens in their home opener on Tuesday evening, Valor Volleyball will now host three teams for the Evangel Quad, beginning at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow (Sept. 6) afternoon.

The Valor will take on the Friends Falcons in their first conference match of the year at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, followed by a 7:00 p.m. matchup with the Owls of William Woods. Evangel concludes play tomorrow at 11:30 a.m., taking on (RV) College of Saint Mary in the Ashcroft Center.

OPENING STORYLINES 

• Evangel will host their annual quad, beginning on September 6th. The full schedule is listed below.

  • 2:30 PM - Evangel vs Friends

  • 4:45 PM - Friends vs College of Saint Mary

  • 7:00 PM - Evangel vs William Woods

  • 9:30 AM (Sept. 7) - Friends vs William Woods

  • 11:30 AM (Sept. 7) - Evangel vs College of Saint Mary

  • 2:00 PM (Sept. 7) - College of Saint Mary vs William Woods

• Graduate transfer Loran Pritchett leads the Valor in kills and service aces so far this season, currently with 89 and 13, respectively.

• Sophomore Jessica Pritchett leads Evangel in assists, racking up 90 in five games.

• Junior Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 33 blocks so far this year, currently averaging 1.50 per set.

• Junior Kenna Wise has continued to be strong defensively, currently with 117 total digs to lead the team, averaging 5.32 per set.

• In the all-time matchup, Evangel leads Friends, 8-4, but trails both William Woods and College of Saint Mary, 27-31 and 1-2, respectively.

LOOKING AHEAD

The Valor will travel to St. Louis, Mo., next Friday and Saturday to compete at the UHSP Classic, taking on Freed-Hardeman and Cottey College on Friday, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
