SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After a strong performance at the CofO Classic, Valor Volleyball competes in their first home match of the season on Tuesday (Sept. 3) evening.
The Valor will take on the Stephens College Stars at 7:00 p.m. in the Ashcroft Center, looking to take their seventh straight victory of the season.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel defeated CofO, MACU, USAO, and Mission last week, all in straight set sweeps.

Graduate transfer Loran Pritchett leads the Valor in kills and service aces so far this season, currently with 78 and 11, respectively.

Freshman Sydney Bryan leads Evangel in assists, racking up 74 in six games.

Junior Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 27 blocks so far this year, currently averaging 1.42 per set.

Junior Kenna Wise has continued to be strong defensively, currently with 102 total digs to lead the team, averaging 5.37 per set.

Evangel takes on Stephens on Tuesday in their 17th all-time matchup. Currently, the Valor and Stars are knotted up at an all-time record of 7-7-2, with all matches occurring during or prior to the 1982 season.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Valor will host the annual Evangel Quad Classic on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 6/7) competing at 2:30 and 7:00 p.m. on Friday and 11:30 a.m. the following day.
