SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After going 3-1 at the UHSP Classic, Valor Volleyball takes on the 25th ranked Columbia College Cougars in their first ever match up in AGFinancial Arena on Thursday (Sept. 19) evening at 6:00 p.m.

OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel went 3-1 at the UHSP Classic last week, defeating Brescia, Freed-Hardeman, and Cottey, but falling to (RV) Missouri Baptist.

Graduate transfer Loran Pritchett continues to lead the Valor in kills, currently with 178.

The Pritchett sisters lead the team in service aces, both with 20 so far this year.

Sophomore Jessica Pritchett leads Evangel in assists, currently with 214 this year.

Junior Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 55 blocks so far this year, currently averaging 1.22 per set.

Junior Kenna Wise has continued to be strong defensively, currently with 225 total digs to lead the team, averaging 5.00 per set.

Thursday's game is the first in the brand new AGFinancial Arena, beginning a new era for Evangel Athletics.

Evangel takes on Columbia on Thursday in their 27th all-time matchup. Currently, the Valor trail the Cougars, 6-20, looking to grab a win after losing 19 straight to Columbia.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Valor hit the road next Wednesday (Sept. 25) evening, taking on the Tabor College Bluejays in Hillsboro, Kan., at 6:00 p.m.
