SUTTON, Neb. – Valor Baseball concluded their three game series with the Panthers on Saturday (Apr. 20) afternoon, looking to pull off a sweep against York on the road.
The Valor scored the first run of the ballgame on Saturday, but an offensive explosion from York was not answered by the Evangel offense, as the Valor fell, 11-1, but took the series two games to one.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Neither team scored in the first two innings of Saturday's game, but the Valor opened scoring by pushing across a run in the third inning. Arly Miller singled and Parker Ellifritz entered the game as a courtesy runner for the catcher. After Ellifritz stole second, an Isaac Miller groundout advanced Parker to third and a Riley Mitchell single scored Ellifritz, making it a 1-0 EU lead.

The Valor offense recorded just one hit past the third inning, a Levi Loughridge single that came in the final inning of play, as York scored 11 runs and took an 11-1 win over the Valor in the final game of the series.
