WICHITA, Kan. – Three Evangel Valor men's basketball standouts have earned spots on KCAC All-Conference teams with Josh Pritchett highlighting the awards, being named to the All-KCAC second team. Garrett Davault and Jace Coffie rounded out the all-conference honorees, both earning honorable mention all-conference, the league office announced Wednesday.
Pritchett, a Rolla, Mo., native, has been on a streak of strong games as of late and averaged a team high 16.1 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game, 5.4 assists per game, and 1.8 steals per game in the regular season. Pritchett recorded his 2000th career point last Saturday and ranks in the top five in several categories at Evangel (2nd in steals, 2nd in assists, 4th in scoring, 5th in three point makes).
A sophomore guard from Norwood, Mo., Davault has been Evangel's second leading scoring for the majority of the season, averaging 12.9 points per game, as well as 4.1 rebounds per game for the Valor, while shooting the highest percentage on the team (58.9 percent).
Coffee, a graduate student from Oviedo, Fla., rounded out all-conference honorees, averaging 10.4 points per game (4th on the team) and 5.0 rebounds per game (2nd on the team) in the regular season.
Evangel (17-10) opens play in the KCAC Conference Tournament on Thursday (Feb. 29) night in the Ashcroft Center against the five-seeded Saint Mary Spires in a 7 p.m., contest. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.
