SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Valor Volleyball took on long-time rival College of the Ozarks on Wednesday (Oct. 2) evening, looking to take the season sweep of the Bobcats. Evangel dominated on Wednesday, taking a 3-0 sweep of C of O, and earning their 1000th win in program history.
Evangel and College of the Ozarks played a tight first set, with both teams ultimately tied up all the way to 20-20. Kills by Vivianna Sanchez and Loran Pritchett helped the Valor push out to a 23-20 lead and a pair of kills from Pritchett helped push the Valor to a tight 25-22 victory in set one.
The Valor continued their strong play in set two, taking as much as a seven point lead, 16-9, over the Bobcats. C of O fought back, keeping the game close, but again multiple kills from the Valor offense as well as stops on defense gave Evangel a 25-19 win in the second set.
Wednesday's final set featured the Valor and Bobcats fighting in a very close game. Leading 20-19, a pair of kills from Vivianna Sanchez and Loran Pritchett helped the Valor close out the win on Wednesday, 25-21, and sweep of the rival Bobcats.

Evangel takes the weekend off and returns to action next Wednesday (Oct. 9) evening at 7:00 p.m. in Leavenworth, Kan., against the Saint Mary Spires.
