Valor Volleyball Travels to Wichita to Take on Friends on Wednesday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Valor Volleyball team travels to Wichita, Kan., tomorrow (Sept. 20) evening to take on the Friends Falcons.

This is Evangel's second conference match of the season, after defeating the York Panthers at the beginning of the month, 3-0.

OPENING STORYLINES 

  • Evangel fell to 10th ranked Columbia College on the road last week, 3-0.

  • Bella Wakley leads the team in kills so far this season, currently with 138.

  • Leah Jackson leads Evangel in assists with 208.

  • Sophomore Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 43 blocks so far this year.

  • Jessica Pritchett and Leah Jackson lead the Valor in service aces, with 19 and 14, respectively.

  • The Valor are 7-4 all-time against Friends, with Evangel's last win over the Falcons coming on September 14th, 2012, when the Valor won a close battle, 3-2.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel continues their road trip on Saturday (Sept. 23) afternoon in Lindsborg, Kansas, taking on the Bethany Swedes at 2:00 p.m.
