SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Valor Volleyball team continues their road stand on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 1/2) afternoon, competing in the College of Saint Mary Labor Day Classic, hosted at United Sports Academy.
Evangel's weekend-opening matchup against Mayville State begins at 2 p.m., and will be followed by a 6 p.m., contest against Governors State. The following day sees Evangel match up against The Master's, who were receiving votes in the most recent coaches poll, at 1 p.m., and finish the weekend with a 5 p.m. contest with Briar Cliff.

OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel went 3-1 last week at the Wolf Pack Welcome, hosted by Loyola College.

Sophomore Vivianna Sanchez continues to display her defensive prowess at the net, leading the team with 18 blocks.

Freshman Jessica Pritchett has been a bright spot when serving, currently leading the team with 10 service aces.

EU will face off with Governor's State and The Master's for the first time in program history this weekend. The Valor are 2-0 all time against Mayville State and will look for their first win in program history over Briar Cliff, as they are 0-5 all-time.
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel will host their Evangel Quad next Friday and Saturday (Sept. 8/9) afternoon, taking on York to kick the Quad off at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
