Location: Bentonville, Ark. (Sugar Creek Soccer Park)

BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Valor Men's Soccer concluded their road non-conference schedule on Wednesday (Aug. 30) evening, as they traveled to Bentonville, Arkansas, to take on the Ecclesia Royals. Despite a scoreless first 27 minutes, Evangel's offense exploded for a flurry of goals, taking the win 6-0 over the Royals.

Evangel and Ecclesia played a competitive first half of the first half. Neither team was able to put a goal on the board in that time frame. At the 28:09 mark of the game, Rem Harmsworth scored his third goal of the season. Harmsworth received a pass from Igor Ovcarevic and cut inside the outside defender, nailing a corner finish to put EU ahead, 1-0. Just a minute and a half later, Ovcarevic hit a back post chip over the keeper to push the Valor to a 2-0 lead. Evangel's offense continued to click, as a barrage of shots kept the keeper moving. A rebound off of a Ted Okoroh shot found Elias Lairmore, who nailed the third goal of the game, moving the Valor to a 3-0 lead, heading into the halftime break.

Similar to the first half, it took Evangel a solid part of the half to get their offense firing on all cylinders. Ovcarevic scored his second goal of the match at the 62:11 mark, on a feed from Lucas Arias. Just five minutes later, Gabriel Eneh scored the first goal of his career with Evangel, on a selfless pass from Okoroh, making it a 5-0 Valor lead. Evangel continued to shut down the Royals offense, as goalkeeper Anthony Morales did not allow a single goal. In the final six minutes, Sebastian Molina scored his first goal on an assist from Ruben Gonzalez, taking a 6-0 lead they would maintain to the end.
