SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's soccer team hosts the Williams Baptist Eagles on Friday (Aug. 25) for their 2023 home opener at 7:00 p.m.

The contest is the first of ten home matches for EU this fall and will be the seventh matchup against the Eagles in program history.

OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel Women's Soccer is 5-3 in home openers all-time, with their last win coming in 2021 against Freed-Hardeman, 1-0.
Junior transfer Emily Oedewaldt leads the Valor in goals, scoring her first in a Valor uniform in the season opener last week.
Maddy Wanner leads Evangel in assists after recording one on Oedewaldt's goal last week.
Chloe Hancock leads Evangel in saves, currently with 10 on the year.
Evangel is 5-1 against Williams Baptist all-time, including 3-0 at home.
The Valor average 4.17 goals against the Eagles and won their last matchup against WBU, 1-0, back in 2021.
