SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After defeating the Avila Eagles in the KCAC VB Conference Tournament First Round, Evangel Volleyball travels to Hutchinson, Kansas, to take on the #3 seeded Bethel Threshers in the quarterfinals at 1:30 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 10) afternoon, looking to take a win and advance to semifinal play.
With a win, Evangel would take on the winner of #2 Kansas Wesleyan and #7 Saint Mary in the semifinals at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow (Nov. 10) night.

Evangel defeated Avila on Tuesday evening, sweeping the Eagles, 3-0.

Bella Wakley leads the team in kills so far this season, currently with 307.

Leah Jackson leads Evangel in assists with 466, averaging just shy of five assists per set (4.96) Jessica Pritchett has also broken 449 assists this year, currently with 449.

Sophomore Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 119 blocks so far this year, currently averaging 1.27 per set which is tenth in the nation.

Jessica Pritchett leads the Valor in service aces with 28 so far this season.

Kenna Wise leads Evangel in digs, breaking the 500 mark with 543 and is 12th in the nation in digs per set, averaging 5.78 overall.

The Valor take on Bethel in their tenth meeting on Friday and are 5-4 all-time against their opponent. Evangel fell to Bethel in five sets last month. If the Valor win, they will take on either KWU or USM. Evangel fell to Kansas Wesleyan last Saturday in straight sets, but defeated Saint Mary in five sets last month.
LOOKING AHEAD
If Evangel wins both games on Friday, the Valor will take on either Oklahoma Wesleyan, Ottawa, McPherson, or Tabor in the KCAC Conference Tournament Championship at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11th.
