SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After concluding their regular season last Saturday (Nov. 4) morning, Valor Volleyball earned the six seed in the conference tournament and will play host to the 11-seeded Avila Eagles on Tuesday (Nov. 7) evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Ashcroft Center.

Evangel fell in their regular season finale, 3-0, to Kansas Wesleyan.

Bella Wakley leads the team in kills so far this season, currently with 297.

Leah Jackson leads Evangel in assists with 447, averaging just shy of five assists per set (4.91) Jessica Pritchett has also broken 400 assists this year, currently with 433.

Sophomore Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 117 blocks so far this year, currently averaging 1.29 per set which is ninth in the nation.

Jessica Pritchett leads the Valor in service aces with 28 so far this season.

Kenna Wise leads Evangel in digs, breaking the 500 mark with 522 and is 14th in the nation in digs per set, averaging 5.74 overall.

The Valor take on Avila in their 53rd meeting on Tuesday and are 34-17-1 all-time against their opponent. Evangel's last win over the Eagles came last week, when they won in straight sets, 3-0.
LOOKING AHEAD
With a win, Evangel will advance to the quarterfinals of the KCAC Conference VB Tournament and take on #3 Bethel at 1:30 p.m. in Hutchinson, Kansas, on Friday (Nov. 10) afternoon. With a loss, Evangel's 2023 season will come to an end.
