SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After recording an improbable comeback victory on Wednesday evening against Saint Mary, Valor Volleyball looks to continue their winning ways, traveling to North Newton, Kansas, to take on the Bethel Threshers on Saturday (Oct. 7) afternoon at 1:00 p.m.

Evangel put forth an exceptional comeback on Wednesday, defeating Saint Mary, 3-2, after being down 14-8 in the final set to 15 points.

Bella Wakley leads the team in kills so far this season, currently with 193.

Leah Jackson leads Evangel in assists with 291, averaging just shy of five assists per set (4.93).

Sophomore Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 64 blocks so far this year, currently averaging 1.08 per set which is 32nd in the nation.

Jessica Pritchett leads the Valor in service aces with 23 so far this season.

Kenna Wise leads Evangel in digs with 346 and is 13th in the nation in digs per set, averaging 5.86 overall.

The Valor take on Bethel in their ninth meeting on Saturday and are 5-3 all-time against the Threshers. Evangel's last win over Bethel came last season, when they won in straight sets, 3-0. Last season's win over Bethel was Coach Mary Whitehead's 500th career win, as she brings a 515-313 record into Saturday's match.
