SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After a dominant three set performance against the Southwestern College Moundbuilders on Wednesday, Valor Volleyball hits the road to take on the Sterling College Warriors on Friday (Oct. 20) evening at 6:00 p.m.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel defeated Southwestern on Wednesday, 3-0, to move to 6-3 in conference play and fifth overall in conference.

Bella Wakley leads the team in kills so far this season, currently with 236.

Leah Jackson leads Evangel in assists with 371, averaging just shy of five assists per set (4.88).

Sophomore Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 93 blocks so far this year, currently averaging 1.22 per set which is tied for 12th in the nation.

Jessica Pritchett leads the Valor in service aces with 24 so far this season.

Kenna Wise leads Evangel in digs with 433 and is 13th in the nation in digs per set, averaging 5.70 overall.

The Valor take on Sterling in their fifth meeting on Friday and are 3-1 all-time against their opponent. Evangel's last win over the Warriors came back in 2005, when they won in straight sets.
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel remains on the road on Wednesday (Oct. 25) evening at 7:00 p.m., taking on the Ottawa Braves in Ottawa, Kansas.
