SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After taking down the McPherson Bulldogs in a thrilling five-set matchup, Valor Volleyball plays host to Southwestern College on Wednesday (Oct. 18) evening, looking to continue their success in conference play.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel defeated McPherson on Saturday, 3-2, to move to 5-3 in conference play.

Bella Wakley leads the team in kills so far this season, currently with 226.

Leah Jackson leads Evangel in assists with 356, averaging just shy of five assists per set (4.88).

Sophomore Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 88 blocks so far this year, currently averaging 1.21 per set which is tied for 13th in the nation.

Jessica Pritchett leads the Valor in service aces with 24 so far this season.

Kenna Wise leads Evangel in digs with 414 and is 14th in the nation in digs per set, averaging 5.67 overall.

The Valor take on Southwestern in their ninth meeting on Wednesday and are 4-3-1 all-time against their opponent. Evangel's last win over Southwestern came back in 2011, when they won in straight sets.
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel hits the road on Friday (Oct. 20) evening at 6:00 p.m., taking on the Sterling College Warriors in Sterling, Kansas.
