SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After a tough back and forth five set loss to Bethel on Saturday, Valor Volleyball travels to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to take on the Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles, who were receiving votes in the most recent top 25 poll, at 6:00 p.m.
OPENING STORYLINES

Evangel fell in a close five set battle, 3-2, against Bethel.

Bella Wakley leads the team in kills so far this season, currently with 203.

Leah Jackson leads Evangel in assists with 318, averaging just shy of five assists per set (4.97).

Sophomore Vivianna Sanchez leads the team with 70 blocks so far this year, currently averaging 1.09 per set which is 32nd in the nation.

Jessica Pritchett leads the Valor in service aces with 23 so far this season.

Kenna Wise leads Evangel in digs with 375 and is 13th in the nation in digs per set, averaging 5.86 overall.

The Valor take on Oklahoma Wesleyan in their fifth meeting on Wednesday and are 4-0 all-time against the Eagles. Evangel's last win over OKWU came back in 2017, when they won in four sets, 3-1.
LOOKING AHEAD
Evangel returns home on Saturday (Oct. 14) afternoon for a 2:00 p.m. matchup with the McPherson Bulldogs in the Ashcroft Center.
