Valor Women's Soccer Hosts Nationally Ranked OKWU on Wednesday

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's soccer team concludes their home stand on Wednesday (Oct. 11) evening, looking to put another tally in the win column as they take on the nationally ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles.

OPENING STORYLINES 

  • Oklahoma Wesleyan was ranked ninth in the nation in the last coaches poll.

  • Evangel Women's Soccer has passed last season's goal total, currently with 26 this year.

  • Evangel and Bethel tied in a high scoring affair on Saturday, 4-4.

  • Anna Crain leads the Valor in goals and assists, currently with eight and five, respectively, on the season.

  • Chloe Hancock leads Evangel in saves, currently with 53 on the year.

  • Ava Campbell scored her first goal of the season on Saturday.

  • Evangel is 0-1 all-time against Oklahoma Wesleyan, falling to the Eagles, 8-1, in Evangel's first season as a soccer team.

LOOKING AHEAD

Evangel Women's Soccer will begin a two game road trip on Saturday (Oct. 14) afternoon, taking on the McPherson Bulldogs in McPherson, Kansas.
