SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Valor Volleyball took on Texas Wesleyan to cap off the Alamo City Vollyesta on Saturday afternoon. Although finishing with nearly as many kills as Texas Wesleyan, Evangel fell short as they were swept, 3-0.
Evangel quickly fell behind in the first set and could never come closer than a three point deficit, as they fell, 25-20. Texas Wesleyan found their offensive groove in the second set. Evangel evened the set up at 3 points apiece, capped off by a Sharayah Seymour service ace, but TWU used a 7-0 run to stall the Valor momentum and take the set, 25-16. In the third and final set, the Rams began by going on a 10-3 run. EU was able to narrow the deficit to just four when Seymour recorded a kill off a feed from Kenna Wise, but the Rams locked up the game on a 4-1 run, 25-18.

Evangel will take a few days off before competing in the Hampton Inn Classic in Columbia, Mo. The Valor will take on #3 Bellevue and John Brown next Friday (Aug. 26) beginning at 12:00 p.m.
