SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – After claiming their first conference win of the season last Saturday, the Valor Women's Soccer team looked to end their season on a high note. After scoring an early goal, Evangel locked down the Graceland offense, claiming the 1-0 victory.

Evangel kept offensive pressure on the Yellowjackets for the majority of the first half, recording several shots on goal. In the 29th minute, Ashleigh Fairfax was awarded a free kick that she nailed to give Evangel the 1-0 lead. Fairfax had perfect placement on the shot and the Valor grabbed momentum. The Valor kept up their strong offensive play in the half, ending with a strong 11-2 lead in total shots.

The second half saw both teams began to match up well as each team traded shots. The Evangel defense turned their pressure up and smothered several Graceland shot attempts as Chloe Hancock recorded three saves in the half. The Yellowjackets were unable to generate any offense and Evangel ultimately came away with a strong 1-0 victory and clean sheet for Hancock.
