CANTON, Mo. – Valor Women's Soccer traveled to Canton, Missouri, to take on the Wildcats of Culver-Stockton on Saturday night. Without leading attacker Dajah Boykin, Evangel struggled on the attack, generating solid, but limited opportunities to score as they fell, 3-0.
The Wildcats came out quick on the offensive side of the ball at the beginning of the first half, hitting five shots on goal before they broke the scoreless tie with a goal at the 21:29 mark. The Valor were nearly able to respond at the 34 minute mark, but an Anna Krueger shot was turned away by the goalkeeper. The Krueger shot was Evangel's lone attempt of the half as they trailed 1-0 at the break.
Kicking off the second half, Culver continued their strong offensive pace by recording shot after shot. McKinley Yoder found a chance to even the score, but another save by the keeper kept it a 1-0 game. Four minutes would pass before Culver doubled their lead on another goal. EU's Annslee Glenn nearly gave the Valor a goal, but the Wildcats goalie was consistent and stopped the ball from scoring for the Valor's last opportunity at a goal. Culver tacked on another goal to break the game open as the Valor fell, 3-0.
