Springfield, Mo. – After a week off from games, Evangel took the court to face off against conference foe, Baker. Ultimately, the Wildcats prevailed, taking a back and forth game, 3-1, and moving EU's conference losing streak to 4 games.

The night was full of back and forth play as EU rallied from a 16-10 deficit to take the opening set, thanks in large part to a 7-0 scoring run. EU established the upper hand early in the second, racing out to a 10-3 advantage, but Baker would go on a run of their own, taking the set 25-22 thanks to a .326 attacking percentage. BU took control with an 8-3 run in the third set after an EU run, then closed out the 25-23 victory by withstanding EU's comeback bid by Bridget Petersen. The fourth set proved to be yet another back-and-forth battle, as neither club led by more than three points at any time. The Valor pulled to within one point on a Ciera Reyes kill, but Nott put away the deciding point with her 12th kill of the match

Highlights

• Allisyn Frank led BU with 13 kills, and Grace Wood tallied 47 assists for the Wildcats

• Tori Lowry tallied a match-high 15 kills to go along with 10 digs and three blocks

• Petersen added 11 kills and four blocks, while Reyes and Regan Ansley contributed 10 kills apiece for the Valor, which hit just .178 for the night

• Jorden Stacey recorded 30 assists tonight, her second game of the season with 30+

• Eryn Russell finished her night with 27 digs.

The Evangel Valor will hit the road this weekend for matchups with No. 12 Central Methodist on Friday at 7:00 p.m., and Missouri Valley on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
