Springfield, Mo. – After a tough week of conference games, EU rebounded and got the sweep over William Woods (Mo.) on Tuesday night, 3-0.

EU began the night without senior leaders Daisy Eklund and Jorden Stacey, but good overall team play helped lead them to the sweep of William Woods. The first set was close in terms of kills with both teams finishing in double digits, but EU limited the errors and got key service aces from Leah Jackson and Sydney Dunavant to claim the set, 25-20. The second set saw EU explode offensively. EU finished the set with 20 kills, hitting .436 to claim the second set, 25-21. In the third and final set, EU would not be denied the sweep. With the score at 15-13, EU would go on an 8-0 run to push the game out of reach and claim the final set, 25-15.

"It's easy to relax when you play a non-conference game in the middle of a tough conference schedule," head coach Mary Whitehead stated. "We had things we needed to work on as a team in our blocking and attacking and that's exactly what we did tonight with our .317 hitting percentage and 6 blocks."
