SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel men's tennis dropped a 6-1 decision to John Brown University Tuesday afternoon at Cooper Tennis Complex.
The Crusaders picked up a doubles win from James McIlwraith and Daryl Wong after Sam Spencer and Mitchell Berry withdrew with the EU duo leading 4-3. JBU earned the doubles point behind wins by Hudson Dick/Cade Cox and Woody Woodring/Logan Wheeler, however.
The Golden Eagles also posted a strong showing on the singles side, getting victories from Dick, Spencer, Cox, Wheeler and Woodring. Luke Carpenter claimed a walkover win against Berry for the lone Crusader victory.
