SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's tennis team topped Bethel College by a 5-2 score Saturday in the Crusaders' spring debut at Cooper Tennis Complex.
The EU women claimed the victory with a strong showing on the singles side of the competition, with Ana Bejelica posting a win over Halle Krehbiel (6-0, 6-0), as well as walkover victories for Courtney Yates, Neely Bridges and Karson Phipps to lock up the victory.
Bethel claimed a doubles win, with the duo of Krehbiel and Aurora Domingo edging Yates and Bridges, 6-4.
UP NEXT
The Crusaders return to the courts on Monday (Feb. 22), when they host Truman State in a Noon competition at Cooper.
