SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Valor took on NAIA ranked No. 13 Central Methodist on senior night to cap off their regular season. Although EU had been defeated by the Eagles earlier in the season, Evangel came out hot and never looked back, sweeping the NAIA ranked Eagles on Tuesday night.

Evangel began the night on fire against CMU. In the first set, EU hit .457 to the Eagles .222. The Valor would not trail in the first set to the Eagles and a kill by Daisy Eklund, assisted by Jorden Stacey, followed by a CMU ball handling error would give the Valor a 25-17 win. In the second set, Evangel would cool down, but still swing .333 to push the Eagles. Regan Ansley would record 7 kills in the set alone and would cap off the set with an assist from Eryn Russell to win set two, 25-16. In the third and final set, the Valor would not be denied the victory over CMU. EU would hit .436 in the third set and the combined team effort on attacking would push their way to victory, 25-19, off a kill from Tori Lowry, again assisted by Russell.

Highlights

• Attacking was a complete team effort for the Valor tonight; Eklund led the team with 13 kills, followed by 12 for Ansley.

• Stacey led the team in assists with 26 on the night.

• Eryn Russell led the team with 18 digs this evening.

• Ciera Reyes (9 kills), Bridget Petersen (6 kills), Cadence Swank (6 kills), and Lowry (6 kills) all contributed to EU's final attacking percentage of .407.

• EU's .407 attacking percentage is their best in a game since September 8th, 2018. (vs. Williams Baptist, .410)
