BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Valor matched up against Baker on Tuesday night, hoping to get back on track after dropping their previous match. The Valor did just that, making quick work and sweeping Baker in three sets.
EU began the night attacking well, outpacing the Wildcats in attacking percentage, finishing the first set .345 compared to Baker's .056. Runs of 5-0 and 6-0 allowed the Valor to grab a lead and run with it, taking the first set, 25-15. In the second set, EU's attacking pace was slowed by attacking errors and good Baker defense, but ultimately EU would take the set on a 7-0 run that was capped off by a Tori Lowry kill from Sydney Dunavant. In the third and final set, the Valor left no comeback opportunity for Baker as they hit their team high .517 and never once trailed in the set, taking it 25-12.
