SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Evangel University cheerleading will be holding its tryouts for the 2020-21 season by video and online interview.

Interested participants should send an email with a short video attached to head coach Renee Jenkins by Friday, April 3, 2020. The Evangel cheer team is also looking for men.

In your email include:

• Name
• Grade level
• Previous cheer experience (if any)
  • How many years
  • What position (base, flyer, backspot)
  • Competitive, game day or both
• Tumbling experience (if any)
  • What is your highest level of skill?
  • You may send a video if you wish
• Previous other sports played
• Attached video

In your video:

• Learn and perform E-V-A-N-G-E-L cheer (see QR code in the picture)
• Tell us reasons why you are looking forward to joining the Evangel cheer team
• Option items to include:
  • Video of you cheering at former school
  • Video of you stunting
  • Video of you tumbling
  • Anything else you would like for the coaches to see
