SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel volleyball rebounds from Friday night's tough loss with a straight-set win over Peru State on Saturday afternoon.

The Crusaders dominated the first two sets, winning both 25-9. The Bobcats put up a fight in the third set but ultimately lost 25-17.

Evangel was killer on offense hitting a .248 percentage for the game. Tori Lowry led the team with 12 kills, followed by Regan Ansley and Daisy Eklund with 8, Kristen Johnson with 7, and Gabby Massengale with 6.

McKenna Miller had 21 assists on the day, while Victoria Fishback had 12.

Defensively, the Crusaders were led by Eryn Russel with 28 digs. Massengale and Sidney Hill both had two blocks in the match.

What's Next

Evangel will continue their homestand on Tuesday, Oct. 22 for Senior Night against MidAmerica Nazarene. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
