SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Evangel was shutout at home on Saturday by Clarke, 1-0.

The lone goal was an own goal by Evangel in the third minute during an attempt to defend a free kick.

The Crusaders definitely had their chances with 19 shots, 14 being on goal. They were led by Bianca Biffert with 7 shots.

Evangel did well defensively the rest of the game, only giving up three shots on goal. Josie Gregory had two saves in goal.
