SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The Evangel women's soccer team was unable to post a second-half rally Tuesday afternoon falling, 4-0, to Central Methodist in Heart of America Athletic Conference action.

The Crusaders fell behind early as the Eagles placed two early goals in the first 20 minutes of the match to take a 2-0 lead. However, CMU continued its pressure with a goal off the rebound in the 24th minute.

Evangel was outshot in the match 16-7 as the second-half evened out with CMU edging Evangel 7-5.

Josie Gregory managed three saves in the first half before Caitlyn Cox recorded one save in the second half in goal.
