SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel women's tennis team dropped its conference opener Saturday afternoon, 6-3, to Baker at the Cooper Indoor Tennis Complex.

The Crusaders were able to pick up hard-earned wins at No. 1 and No. 5 singles. Mairead Cleary and Alina Schweitzer also teamed up for a win at No. 1 doubles.
