ATCHISON, Kan. – The Evangel University volleyball team finished an exciting five-set Heart win over Benedictine, 3-2, Tuesday night at Ralph Nolan Gymnasium. 

Evangel needed all five sets Tuesday to finish off the Ravens but held Benedictine to negative hitting percentages in the fourth and fifth sets to seal the victory. 

Morgan Kensinger paced the Crusaders on both sides of the net with 12 kills and a .296 hitting percentage. Defensively, she recorded seven blocks as Evangel finished with 19 total blocks. 

Both Brianna Justis and Stacey Jorden recorded double-doubles as Justis added 22 assists and 11 digs. Jorden tallied 13 assists and 12 digs in the win. Allie Dunton-Moss earned 31 digs as well on the defensive side of the net.

UP NEXT
The Crusaders head to College of the Ozarks for the final tournament of the season Friday and Saturday. Evangel opens play against Kentucky Christian at 5 p.m. on Friday and 12 p.m. against Johnson and Wales on Saturday.
