SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The historic first match at Coryell Field saw the Evangel women's soccer team fall 2-0 to Fontbonne on Tuesday afternoon.
The Crusaders and Griffins battled in an evenly matched contest in the first ever match at Coryell Field. Fontbonne scored just before halftime in the 29th minute when Savannah Davis scored the first ever goal on the new field.
Evangel out-shot the Griffins in the second half, however, Fontbonne got its second goal of the match off a rebound in the 59th minute. The Crusaders finished with eight shots in the match while Fontbonne tallied 11.

- Evangel was shutout for the third time this season.
- Savannah Davis of Fontbonne recorded the first ever goal at Coryell Field with an assist from Linsey Klein.
- Josie Gregory recorded seven saves, her second-highest total of the season.
