SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Evangel University volleyball team swept Graceland, 3-0, Friday night behind a solid defensive effort in Heart of America Athletic Conference action. 

The Crusaders saw the return of senior Morgan Kensinger who recorded five blocks, while Evangel tallied 15 as a team. Sandy Mohr posted nine blocks and eight kills with a .368 hitting percentage on the offensive side of the net. 

Evangel was able to outlast the Yellowjackets with a 33-31 win in set one before taking the second and third sets, 25-23, 25-21. 

Graceland struggled offensively as they hit just .012 in the match. Megan Kneib led the Yellowjackets with 14 kills. 

Jackie Fugate paced Evangel with a team-high 10 kills.
