FAYETTE, Mo. – The Evangel University volleyball team fell in straight sets, 3-0, at league-leading Central Methodist Thursday night in conference action.
The Crusaders were able to trade points most of the night with Central Methodist, who entered with a perfect league mark. However, the Eagles stayed one step ahead of Evangel taking 25-20, 25-21 and 25-21 wins continue their perfect conference record.
Sandy Mohr finished with nine kills and a .333 hitting percentage to lead Evangel on the offensive side of the net. Mohr also tallied two blocks in the loss to lead the team.
Defensively, Allie Dunton-Moss recorded 13 digs while Jorie Garrett also added 13 digs.
Central Methodist saw three players finish with double-figure kills, led by Darcy Latham who posted 11 for the Eagles. Latham also finished with a .321 hitting percentage as CMU tallied just 11 errors in the game and hit .277 as a team while the Crusaders hit at a .137 clip.

The Crusaders return home for their final four regular season matches starting Tuesday against Baker. First serve from the Ashcroft Center is scheduled for 7 p.m.
