EU renews rivalry with MidAmerica Nazarene: Evangel and MidAmerica Nazarene renews their rivalry Thursday night in Olathe, Kansas in the first of two meetings this season.
The Crusaders are 3-13 and 2-6 in the Heart of America conference. Evangel is coming off of a loss at home to Peru State, 96-76 on Monday.
MidAmerica Nazarene is 10-6 and 4-4 in the league. The Pioneers are in the three-way tie for fifth in the conference. MNU won Monday at Grand View 94-66 in their last game.
Thursday's game is the 69th meeting all-time between Evangel and MidAmerica Nazarene. Evangel has won 35 of the games while MNU has won 33 and the Crusaders gained an edge in the all-time series after winning both games last season: a 100-96 in double overtime at MNU on Jan. 8 and a 69-67 win at Evangel on Feb. 12 on a Nick Yocum tip-in at the buzzer.
The Crusaders return home Saturday to host Culver-Stockton at 4 p.m.
