EU returns to Heart play at Benedictine: Evangel returns to Heart of America conference play Saturday with a game at Benedictine. 

The Crusaders are 2-10 and 1-3 in the league. They are coming off of a win at 15th ranked Southwestern Assemblies of God University (Tex.) on Dec. 18, 89-81. Evangel split their two games in the AGCU Classic in Texas winning their second game but fell 94-87 to Southeastern (Fla.) the day before. The only other win for the Crusaders was in conference play with a Nov. 21 win over Grand View, 72-63. 

Benedictine is 7-3 but is off to a 1-3 start in the conference. The Ravens won their last game, a 76-53 win at home over Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) on Dec. 12. Benedictine had lost three of their prior four games before their Dec. 12 win. They started the season winning five straight. 

Evangel leads the all-time series 39-19 but the Ravens swept the two meetings last season winning 73-62 at the Ashcroft Center on Feb. 28 and 88-80 at home on Jan. 24. Benedictine has won four of the last five against the Crusaders.
