Springfield, Mo. – Evangel women's soccer played its first home match in program history on Tuesday night falling to #20 Oklahoma Wesleyan 8-1.
The Crusaders allowed three goals in the span of five minutes to fall behind 3-0 in the first half. Kaja Cremin, Kaka Delahaye, and Aracelly Ortega scored in the 22nd, 24th, and 25th minutes respectively to put the Eagles into a comfortable lead.
Evangel got on the scoreboard early in the second half, as Rebekah Pell scored her second goal of the young season to give Evangel their lone goal. Oklahoma Wesleyan would score their final five, as Delahaye scored three more goals to lead the Eagles.
With the loss, Evangel falls to 0-2 on the season. Oklahoma Wesleyan remains unbeaten on the young season, improving their record to 3-0-1.
Evangel next plays on September 10th, hosting Bethel (Kan.).
