Lamoni, Iowa – Evangel women's soccer fell in conference play on Saturday night falling to Graceland 8-1.
The Yellowjackets took an early lead with four goals in the first half. Tamara Webb scored in the 5th minute followed by a brace from Alexa Rees, who scored in the 20th and 44th minutes. Bethany Koutsouridis rounded out the first half scoring in the 45th minute.
Graceland got two quick goals after half through Irene Moreno in the 51st and 53rd minute, followed by a goal from Brooke Douglas in the 65th minute. Rebekah Pell scored the lone Evangel goal in the 70th minute. Koutsouridis ended the scoring with a goal 20 seconds after Pell's score.
With the loss, Evangel's record drops to 0-8 on the season and 0-3 in the Heart of America conference. Graceland improves to 4-6 and 1-2 in the conference.
Evangel is back in action on Tuesday, September 29th when they play host to Central Methodist at Cooper Stadium.
