Lamoni, Iowa – The Evangel volleyball team remained undefeated with a 3-0 (25-12, 25-23, 25-18) win on the road at Graceland Tuesday.
The ninth ranked Crusaders improved their record to 17-0 and 4-0 in the Heart of America conference.
Senior outside hitter Micah Guiot led the Crusaders with 9 kills and junior Jackie Fugate added 8 kills in the win. Senior libero Morgan Smith added 21 digs and junior middle block Morgan Kensinger posted a game high four blocks. Senior setter Maddie Baumann led Evangel with 16 assists and senior Haley Watson recorded three service aces.
Graceland fell to 9-9 and 2-1 in the conference.
Evangel will be in action again this weekend when they travel to Olathe, Kansas to play in the MidAmerica Nazarene Tournament Friday and Saturday. The Crusaders will play William Woods at 5:00pm Friday followed by Haskell Indian Nations at 7:30pm. Saturday, Evangel plays Lindenwood-Belleville at 10:00am followed by #19 Park at 12:30pm.
