Box Score Conway, Ark. – Evangel women's soccer lost at NCAA-III Hendrix (Ark.) 6-0 on Tuesday at Warrior Field in Conway, Arkansas.
The Crusaders played Hendrix to a scoreless tie until Janie Stultz scored in the 40th minute on a pass from Vanessa Franco to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead at the half.
The game remained 1-0 until Samantha Lallas put in a Vanessa Franco pass in the 53rd minute to make it 2-0. Hendrix would break the game open with a pair of goals, one by Sydney Blevins and the second by Samantha Lallas in the 62nd minute to make it 4-0.
Hendrix would add two more goals one by Sydney King in the 67th minute and the final goal coming off the foot of Zoe Corwyn in the 82nd minute.
Evangel's best scoring opportunities came in the 20th minute on a corner kick by MaKenna Cotter giving Rebekah Pell a shot on goal. Cotter had a second corner in the 36th minute which Evangel's Lesleigh Fenton put on goal but was saved by Hendrix's Goalkeeper Jordan Rausch.
Evangel fell to 0-11 and Hendrix improved to 8-3-1.
The Crusaders are home Saturday to host Culver-Stockton in a Heart of America conference match. The women's game is at 5:00pm with the men's game at 7:30pm.
