Evangel defeated Texas Wesleyan Friday night at the MidAmerica Nazarene University Tournament 3-0.
The Crusaders took control early and never looked back winning in straight sets 25-17, 25-13, 25-20. Sophomore Morgan Kensinger led the way for Evangel with 12 kills and 5 blocks. Evangel had 12 team blocks on the night and hit .318 as a group.
The Crusaders will be in action again Saturday when they take on Park University (Mo.) at 10:00am and finish with Grand View University (Iowa) at noon.
