Springfield, Mo. – Evangel improved to 11-4 with a 3-0 win at home over College of the Ozarks Thursday at the Ashcroft Center.

Trailing 21-18 in the third set, the Crusaders scored seven straight points to come from behind to win the set and close out the match. Evangel swept the Bobcats 25-21, 25-19 and 25-21.

Junior Micah Guiot led Evangel with 11 kills while sophomore Morgan Kensinger added 5 blocks.

The Crusaders, ranked 19th in the NAIA, improved to 11-4 while College of the Ozarks fell to 4-8.

Evangel is at home again on Tuesday hosting a triangular. The Crusaders host Peru State in a conference match at 4 p.m. and take on William Woods (Mo.) in a non-conference game at 8 p.m. Peru State and William Woods also play at 6 p.m. in the Ashcroft Center.
