Bellevue, Nebraska-- Volleyball won both matches on the first day of the Bellevue University Tournament including a victory over 15th ranked Viterbo (Wis.).
In the first match, the Crusaders knocked off #15 Viterbo (Wis.) 3-1. The Crusaders were led by junior Micah Guiot with 19 kills and sophomore Morgan Kensinger had 7 kills and 9 blocks as the Crusaders held Viterbo to an .098 hitting percentage.
Evangel picked up where they left off in the second match winning in straight sets 3-0 over Hastings (Neb.) who receiving votes for the NAIA top 25. Evangel was led by Morgan Kensinger with 9 kills and 6 blocks, giving her 16 kills and 15 blocks in 7 sets for the day.
Evangel will be back in action again on Saturday when they take on host Bellevue (Neb.) at 11:00am and Doane (Neb.) at 1:00pm
