Brandon Staley added assistant athletic director to his title in 2025 as the Evangel alum joined the Valor administrative team. In addition, Staley also enters his sixth season leading the Track and Field program at Evangel and his third year as the Cross Country head coach.

Staley has steadily grown the Track and Field program each year into the program it is today. In his previous season, Staley has pushed the Valor to their most success. The Women's Track and Field program finished runner up in the KCAC Indoor Conference Championship as Staley was named Indoor Coach of the Year in the KCAC in 2023-24. Staley coached the Valor to over 30 broken records in the 23-24 season and had 15 events represented at the NAIA National Championships this year.

Staley has also been successful with the Cross Country program, earning a pair of national competitors in both of his first two seasons.

Staley came to Evangel as a football student-athlete in 2013, where he played wide receiver for two seasons before an injury sidelined his career. He moved into a student coaching role for the Valor before graduating in 2018 with a degree in social studies education and a minor in leadership.

After graduation, Staley spent one season as a head coach at Mountain Grove Schools as the junior high football coach, while assisting at the varsity level. He was also the track and field coach for the Panthers at the high school level.

A native of Willard, Missouri, Staley returned to Evangel in 2019 as an assistant football coach. He helped with the wide receivers, coaching first-team all-Heart receiver Jansen Acklin during his first season. Staley also helped with the Evangel indoor track and field teams this season, including time at the national championships with Shane Burns and D’Queveous Adkins.

Staley enjoyed a prep career locally at Lighthouse Christian Academy.
