Taylor Higgins returned to Evangel in 2022 to work with the wide receivers.
Higgins had returned to Evangel in 2017 and worked with the receivers for two seasons before spending the previous four at Kickapoo High School.
In his first season with Evangel, he saw Dallas Hester earn second-team All-Heart honors at wide receiver. Higgins coached NAIA All-American Dillon Hester over the last three seasons, helping Evangel make the playoffs in 2023 after an 11-0 regular season.
A 2011 graduate of Evangel, Higgins earned a bachelor of science in physical education and also served in various roles with the football team from 2010 to 2014. In addition to helping coach tight ends and wide receivers, he was also the equipment coordinator and film coordinator.
Before returning to the Evangel sidelines, he worked one season at Kickapoo High School under Kurt Thompson as the passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach.
Prior to his time with the Chiefs, he worked at Willard High for two seasons where he also got experience as the Tigers JV Head Coach.
Higgins also worked three seasons at Strafford High School under Evangel alum, Tim Hester, where he was the offensive coordinator from 2011 to 2012. He also spent time at Hillcrest High School and Pleasant View Middle School.
