Evangel University of the Assemblies of God

Swofford comes to Evangel after coaching stops at Mountain Grove, Glendale, and most recently, Ava, where he took the Bears to a State Championship appearance in 2019. Swofford has received 6 SCA Coach of the Year awards during his time under the helm at Ava and was named the Missouri Coach of the Year for Class 2 in 2019. Swofford obtained his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Science from Southwest Baptist University. Swofford and his wife Erin reside in Ozark and have six children, Ciara, Julia, Greg, Abbie, Jacey, and Nate, as well as four grandchildren.
