GARDEN CITY, Kan. – Valor Men's Golf took part in the KCAC Conference Championship from Monday to Wednesday (Apr. 20-22), aiming to earn a conference title and earn a conference championship. The Valor would be led by junior transfer Chance Wilhite who helped guide EU to an overall fifth place finish at the meet.
Wilhite used a round three low of 73 to pace his overall score of 299, tying for 12th overall to lead the Valor. Thomas Bolin finished just one stroke behind Wilhite, placing 15th overall, while Austin King was two strokes behind Bolin with a low of 74 in round two to tie for 19th.
Freshman Eli Verning placed 24th using Evangel's lowest single round score of 72 in the final round, shooting 306, while William Rader rounded out finishes for Evangel, placing 28th with a low of 76 in the opening round.
The Valor (+48) finished behind KCAC champion, Friends (-2), as well as runner-up Bethany (+34), third place Kansas Wesleyan (+36), and fourth place Sterling (+46).
